A Good Loss?








  
       A little too good. I lost 14lbs in 26 days. I can't tell you how surprised I was when I found out. At my PCP on Friday I was at 13, but by this afternoon I was just over 14. That’s 3.5lbs per week. That is a lot of weight loss in a short amount of time.  

Overall I consider June to be a great month in the sense that I did lose weight, I made some important changes to my diet and exercise programs and I eliminated caffeine and excess sodium. Yes, June was a very significant month. It was also a very busy month. I’m getting ready to move this weekend and work is busy as heck. The summer social scene is in full swing and I’m trying to enjoy it as much as possible, but this move is occurring right smack in the middle of it and the amount of planning/coordinating & work involved requires a lot of time and attention which has been a little frustrating. Thankfully it'll be done in a few days.
 

      Well, much to my surprise both my PCP and Rheumy advised me to adjust my diet so that I don't lose so much weight. They both said 6-7lbs per month is healthy. I actually sort of agree with them – I think 7-8lbs is the sweet spot and I’m comfortable with that. For the Month of July though I’m not going to make any major changes to Tracker goals because I have a sneaky suspicion that some of this loss is liquid and I don't know what percentage so until I know I'm leaving things as is. I don’t think it will hurt to wait another 4 weeks.
 

So, again, I’m very happy with how June went – my discipline was taxed with the elimination of coffee but I managed to maintain control and I think I’m almost over the worst of it. I'm going to work a little harder to reach my daily calorie goals over the next month so that will help. Meanwhile, I’d love to sit around and  bask in the glow of another victory – but I must get back to the business at hand:

 



       P .S. Saturday Tracker indicated NO 35 minutes of exercise. Well, technically that’s true – I had over 2 hours of rigorous exercise! I went dancing with friends (actually so many of my friends were already on the boat when I got there it was like a family reunion!!) Again, so much fun, food, drinks and dancing  – and the fact that I got a lot of exercise is such a bonus! So let’s change that NO to a YES!!!!

           Consistency across the boards is getting stronger with every passing week!

I'm gonna keep this post short and sweet. A much better calorie day today - came in well under goal and don't feel hungry at all. I've got a very busy day and week ahead of me - but its so exciting!
