Monday, July 6 Tracker








So Tuesday starts week #5 of Paleo - grain free living and I must admit this was a great decision. When I first started, I was reading testimonials on the Wheat Belly website and thinking there's no way all these claims can be true - people losing weight, getting off medicines, illness's going away, diseases going into remission, AND not being hungry in the process. Well, if any of you were also wondering, I can tell you for a fact, after 4 weeks - it's all true. I'm losing weight, getting healthier every day and I am not hungry. The horrendous cravings and urges that made me snack and eat unhealthy things regularly - those have all disappeared. And according to Dr. Davis it will continue to get better and better as I continue to 'tweak my diet' to make it more and more healthy - I will become more and more healthy over time. At this point I no longer have any doubts.
 
But here's a new development... over the past week I have come to realize that I’m eating too much food. It’s just a habit. I've been taking food portions much bigger than I need. But now that I've noticed this, I’m starting to taking steps to remedy it. I'll keep you posted. Here's the beautiful thing about this way of eating, I'm in control - I decide when I'll eat, what I'll eat, where I'll eat. I'm not driven like an animal by urges and cravings all the time.  It’s totally liberating and I am loving it. If any of you were thinking about trying it, I recommend it wholeheartedly. Meanwhile...
