Portions



I've been thinking alot about portion control and I think I've racked up some excess calories at dinner due to larger portions and too much paleo, especially since I've added power packed smotthies. So for the next 2 weeks *until weigh-in, I'm going to track these calories more closely. Stay tuned... Meanwhile...

Overall



So calories today are very good. I drove down the average a bit. That's my goal for the next few days - to get my daily average back to goal. I've got 18 more days till weigh-in, which is also within a week of Christmas. So there are parties and luncheons etc. But a fun month overall - very exciting. And of course I'm a big kid when it comes to Christmas - so enough said!  Meanwhile...

Doin' It My Way...







 For the past few weeks I’ve frequently allowed my calorie counts to exceed my daily goal, and in some cases by more than 100. This has been happening because I’ve allowed my focus to stray. In other words, I’ve allowed life to interfere with the most important pursuit which is my health. And so now, the day before Thanksgiving I am once again taking the train and placing it gently back on the Healthy Evolution Tracks. I will be monitoring myself closely. I will be updating my tracker and maintaining my daily posting as well as Healthy Evolution postings.

I consider this all part of the journey – learning how to deal with life in all of its many forms and learning to maintain my goals in spite of it all. I cannot allow 'busy' to side track my efforts. As I’ve mentioned in the past, I was not born and raised into a healthy environment. This is all new to me, I’m teaching myself and learning as I go – “Doin' it my way”. This process is lifelong and the road is winding. I learn from every day, week and month that goes by. And I can say this with absolute certainty - this is such an exciting journey.
