Overcast Tuesday - the trees on Long Island are starting to display brilliant colors of fall. I was so excited driving home last evening when I saw a row of full lush tree's with lots of Red, auburn, yellow and burnt orange leaves. Yes, fall is here. But warm weather is not completely gone yet... still happy.

Today was a heavy veggie day. I had a big bowl of Kale with breakfast - not my favorite cruciferous vegetable but still considered a 'super' veggie because of its intense nutritional concentration so I try not to let a day go by without having some. I also put it into the Ninja Blasts. I ran out of my Organic red and green romaine so had to run to the store after work to restock. I remember when a trip to the grocer after work was to buy cold cuts and chips, or some other 'fast food' but now (and for the past year+) every time I go it's to fill my cart with produce. My lifestyle has changed so much over the past 13 months its been quite a transformation and there isn't a month that goes by that there aren't more and more changes. It's become so important to me to live a healthy life. Adding 6-7 servings of vegetables and fruits to my daily tracker is just a natural evolution - all part of the journey. Meanwhile...

Meatless Monday reinstated








Typical Busy Monday. I had my breakfast at home today and took my Ninja Nutra-Blast smoothie to-go.  It’s been about a week of 2 Ninja blasts per day and I can honestly say I’m starting to notice some small, positive changes. First, increased energy levels, which I don’t really have a problem with so maybe too much energy? Is that possible at 51?
Meanwhile my digestive system seems more finely tuned and productive than usual which includes nutrient absorption. My finger nails for instance that have had vertical ridges for quite some time appear to be smoother than usual. Hopefully that trend will continue. I’m waiting to see if my hair and skin will start showing signs of improved appearance – that’s also supposed to be a benefit of productive nutrition. We shall see. Believe me I'll let you know!  Meanwhile…

P.S. Getting ready to sit down to see Public Enemy - the 1931 James Cagney, Jean Harlow movie. Haven't seen this in so long. Last night I watched Little Cesar with Edward G. Robinson. I just love the old gangster movies on TCM. Do you ever feel like a Public Enemy? If anyone has ever made you feel that way - then you should rejoice and watch the movie. Happiness is always the best response to haters!
