Wednesday 5/13 Tracker... "Enjoy Your Journey"







So yesterday I was a little disappointed with weigh-in results - 3lb gain was unexpected. But in retrospect - it shouldn't have been... on 4/9 I became a vegetarian and as a result I started to do what most vegetarians do - I replaced meat with carbohydrates. But not just that. In finding new vegetarian delights to eat I found vegetable Lo Mein (Chinese), Kashi 3 Mushroom & spinach pizza, Vegetable Primavera (Pasta) all of which I indulged in numerous times. I also had cheese and crackers as a night time snack several times (when I shouldn't be snacking at night - period). I celebrated my birthday with 3 meals out - and 3 cakes!

That being said, it was also the most magnificent month of 2015! I became a vegetarian! I removed 50% of the gluten from my diet (I switched to gluten free pasta), I joined a gym and increased exercise by 11%!  These are monumental changes that I am very proud of. I am so excited about the journey. This month I plan on replacing regular bread with gluten free bread which will make me "gluten free"!  That will be another amazing accomplishment that I'm looking forward to. I will also  continue my exercise program.  Plus, now that I've been a vegetarian for over a month I've become used to it and will start making much better choices - watching carbohydrate calories, adding nuts as a snack to replace the more unhealthy cookies and such and lowering my daily calorie average. I have a month of hard work ahead but I'm up for the challenge! Meanwhile....
