A Good Loss






Today on Long Island is picture perfect. Weather is beautiful and my heart is warmed by a 5lb weight loss! I'm very pleased - and its only going to get better and better. Earlier in the month I started experiencing ankle pain from excessive walking (with excessive weight). And so losing weight faster is now a priority and you'll see it reflected in next month's weigh- in results. The reason I can say that with confidence is because on June 8th I became a paleotarian. This means I eat no grains of any kind. All bread, cereal, pasta, rice, corn, cookies, cakes, pasteries, all grain products are removed from my diet and I'm already realizing a 400+ calorie drop daily - that is significant and I expect it to only get better as my body gets adjusted to a mostly vegetable, fruit and protein diet. The greatest thing about this (so far) is that I'm never hungry. Its really astounding but its a freedom I've never really experienced. I'm just never hungry. Its the best feeling I have to say. But now for results.

Going Paleo is a whole new world. So setting lots of goals is probably unnecessary. I will say that my calories will probably average 1700 which I'll be content with. I have started gentle yoga which I plan on doing everyday. That is a new goal. But since my diet has radically changed I think I will wait another month to see how it goes and then I'll decide what new things (if any) should be done. I can usually see something that needs tweaking, just not right now (besides yoga)... Meanwhile - here is the summary for the month!
