Absent Nutrition


I wish this was our food truck...
I left home this morning forgetting my apple and grapes, and I wasn’t in a rush! WTF.
So I had to buy fresh fruit from the coffee truck – thankfully he had a nice big plastic container of melon, pineapple and watermelon so I shared it with a colleague. I miss my apple though – it’s a great source of natural fiber, my body loves apples. It got me to thinking of something very odd, that is how I rarely have one on Saturday or Sunday, not sure why that is. I still eat lots of salad and veggies but my fruit consumption drops off after Friday night, isn’t that interesting. Not sure yet if I think that’s a problem… Maybe I’ll look back at some weekend trackers and see how I feel.. We’ll see.

So Walking club at work is going fine, although my numbers have dropped over the past 2 weeks, that’s because of the gym no doubt. I’m not upset at all. We’re still holding strong in 3rd place just behind Team Italy who is significantly behind Team Germany. Since walking club began pretty much at the same time Germany won the World Cup – they got an automatic shot of momentum that catapulted them through Europe. Team Spain (my team) is in Warsaw trying hard to get to Vienna. Postings are starting to appear all around the building about the impending Aqua Walk in mid-September and everywhere I walk throughout the building my teammates are talking about it and asking if I’m going... Everyone who participates gets their steps for the day tripled. That could potentially move us into 2nd (but 1st place is simply out of the question unless all the German’s boycott Aqua Walk (which of course they won’t). So guess what??? I am most definitely going to Aqua Walk!

But just walking for the Health of it!
