Peachy Keen


So, I had a dental appointment today to have my premolar filled. It’s been many years since I’ve needed a filling. I wanted porcelain, which would only cost me $8 more than silver, but I have the best dentist and he told me that aesthetically I won’t see the filling in that location of my mouth. He said porcelain looks good but doesn’t last nearly as long – they need to be replaced in a few years which requires additional drilling of the tooth so you lose more tooth integrity leading to a root canal. Guess what I got! A silver filling. That’s that. I have a couple silver fillings in my mouth already since before I was a teenager. So that’s the benefit of silver and now I have another to add to the collection! And he’s right, I can barely see it and no one else will be able to either unless they’re looking for it.

Meanwhile it was Flip Flop Friday - Hawaiian Luau Day today– hence the ice cream bar I had (yumkins). Every now and then I have to breakdown and take one for the team! Yesterday was bagels, cream cheese, fruit, cheese etc. I did not participate in that event. But fudge ice cream with crunchies – only 180 calories, how could I say no to that? Perhaps if they had chocolate bagels…. nah

PS I need to add another fish this week, so shrimps tomorrow!! Yay!
