Countdown has Begun!


Two more days till weigh-in #7. It’s been an incredibly long month in spite of how busy I’ve been. I just love this process – I know I say it often, but it just slows the calendar down to a crawl. After Wednesday – we start at day 1 again – then 4 weeks more to go. Believe me it takes so much time to get to each weigh-in it feels like no time is passing at all.

But of course it has – and I’ve done so much. Most notably joined a gym which I love. My trainer is wonderful (Franny)– she makes sure I don’t do any damage – and on any machine that I can’t use she creates alternative exercises with resistance bands so I don’t lose the benefit. She also told me (more than once) that my appetite will increase as a result of the additional training. Of course this is true – so I may have to modify my tracker goal. I’ve done some nighttime snacking that I didn’t record in my tracker – mostly small bowls of cereal (300 calories). I don’t do it every night – but usually gym night and one or two nights after that. So there are calories unaccounted for. I’m expecting this to impact my weigh-in results so I’ll be happy if I walk away with 4 lbs. But I’m also mindful that I’m no longer just weighing myself, I am now doing measurements, and I will no doubt be exchanging fat for muscle. It’s very exciting for me. I’ll be able to have a better idea of my direction as soon as I know weigh-in results. I may not be able to post my usual myriad of information at the time that I post results. I’ll probably need to think it over a bit before setting goals. We’ll see. 2 more days. J
