The Perfection Paradox



So my new goal is to revert back to the ‘no carbohydrates after lunch’ goal that I set a few weeks ago. I’ve kinda let that slip over the past couple weeks and so now I’m going to start enforcing compliance again. Keep in mind that I never shoot for perfection since that’s not realistic. What I shoot for instead is partial perfection – that seems far easier to attain and sometimes I actually get lucky and hit perfection (not too often though)...

The weather on Long Island is so incredibly beautiful it’s almost eerie – August in New York is usually a steam bath with temps mid to upper 90s and 100% humidity with a heatwave or two thrown in for good measure. Not so much this year – what we are experiencing for the most part (since early July) is mid 80s with low humidity. Just amazing. I wake up with a big smile every day (inside and out). Oh, that may also be because my sleeping has normalized, Yay!  I’m ready for a gorgeous weekend, I have a club date Saturday night and a Ducks game Sunday night. I love busy, fun weekends.  Meanwhile…
