Badass Lemonade



I love Friday’s. They are the gateway to the weekend. I actually got a lot accomplished today at the office, for which I am grateful. My calories for today are above goal due to…. Doritos! But that’s okay. Still under 2000 and that’s what matters. I’ve recently made a couple changes that my body is still trying to adapt to. In case it escaped your notice, I recently reduced my breakfast cereal portion from 1.5c to 1c – and the milk from 3/4c to 1/2c. I also eliminated fruit from my morning smoothie – so now it’s just vegetables. These are two very significant changes to my morning routine and it’s going to take a while for me to adjust both physically and psychologically. 125 calories doesn’t get removed from a meal without putting up a struggle. But never fear – this too shall be conquered and pass. I am thankful that my decision to make this major change occurred during the holiday season because it gives me the opportunity to nosh with benefit, rather than nosh to no end whatsoever. So basically I have found a way to take lemons and make some badass lemonade. So when I look at it like that, I do the happy dance! Meanwhile…
