The Return to Normal -- After the Holidays... Finally!!



As mentioned Friday, I have put some corrective actions in place that have restored my life back to pre-holiday status. Don't get me wrong, these are not the first changes I've made, and they may not be the last - but they are the most significant to date which bears mentioning. Over the weekend I purchased a special Tupperware type contraption that holds both cereal and milk – easy for travel. This allows me to carry my breakfast to work and eat at a more appropriate time which I did today for the first time. I also had my Nutra-Blast smoothie at home, which allowed me to maintain my usual early morning routine (which I will continue to do in the coming days). This gives me my added nutrition while allowing me to watch morning TV as I prepare for the day ahead.  

Having breakfast at my regular time has provided restoration. I wasn't hungry, I didn't fell a nagging all day long - an anxious hunger that demanded crap. I see now that I am genuinely a creature of routine. And yes, there are some that can easily be changed like having dinner at different times without screwing up my nighttime schedule/snacking. But my morning routine is apparently a lot less flexible and so rather than bang my head against a wall, I made a couple tweaks and viola - restored balance to my universe and all is well once again with my Tracker – yay!!! Very happy about this. But no time to rest on my laurels, forward I must go... Meanwhile…
